Sunday session: Welcome in Space

Tired of hearing about the health pass and the 4th wave? Running out of Biafine and rosé? Zeweed invites you to take a cosmic breath of fresh air with two exceptional documentaries, followed by a Star Trek curiosity and the pilot of The Invaders.

Becoming Extraterrestrial(2020)
Earthlings land on the Red Planet. A science-fiction tale that could become reality before the 22nd century. Faced with climate change and the resulting risk of a series of disasters, many scientists believe that our salvation lies in the colonization of space. A plethora of projects by space agencies and private companies are moving in this direction. The European Space Agency (ESA), for example, wants to build a base on the Moon by 2033. NASA, for its part, is preparing a manned mission to Mars, which could materialize in 20 years’ time. This documentary, punctuated by contributions from planetologists, doctors and space geologists, provides a fascinating overview of these space conquest projects. How much would it cost to set up a base on Mars? Is it possible to produce energy there? What is the impact of the lunar environment on the human body? These are just some of the questions addressed by this film, which is inevitably full of conjecture, but whose explanations are as clear as they are educational.

Journey through space (2020)
Planets, satellites, black holes: space is full of fascinating elements. Journey to the Edge of the Universe” takes us on an interstellar journey in computer-generated images, through and beyond the Milky Way. Astonishing stopovers will introduce us to the planets of our solar system, from Mercury and Venus, neighbors of the sun, to Mars, the volcano-dotted red planet, and Jupiter, an impressive gaseous mass surrounded by a plethora of satellites. It’s also a chance to rub shoulders with fledgling stars, admire powerful pulsars, explore black holes and witness storms of unprecedented dimensions.

Star Trek: Pilgrim Of Eternity (2013)
“Pilgrim of Eternity” is the unlikely fan-produced Star Trek episode released in 2013. The first in the Star Trek Continues web series , which aims to continue the episodes of Star Trek: The Original Series, replicating their visual and narrative style. An unofficial sequel to the original episode“Who Cries for Adonais?”. This space pop culture Sputnik was written by Steve Frattarola and Jack Treviño, based on a story by Jack Marshall and Vic Mignogna, all directed by a certain “Mignogna”.

The Invaders “First Proof” pilot (1967)
Remember, it was just over 50 years ago: as he dozed off at the wheel of his car, looking for a shortcut that would make his life ultra-complicated, David Vincent witnessed the landing of a flying saucer. Since that night, he’s been convincing his fellow human beings to fight against the stiff-fingered aliens who, in human guise, are insidiously infiltrating Earth in order to colonize it. What a Pitch!
Featuring footage never before seen on the original broadcast, the extended version is a cosmic must-have for fans of the alien conspiracy.
