But what interests us today is the release of his latest short film, an advert in defense of cannabis.
According to Forbes magazine Forbesthis new campaign aims to de-stigmatize cannabis.
The message is simple: prohibition has led to decades of indiscriminate repression and stigmatization of minorities and the underprivileged, without providing a convincing answer to the ills that cannabis can cure. Yet George Washington (the first President of the United States) also grew cannabis on his land.
” I’ve never been a big fan of cannabis or an ardent advocate of legalization, but I’ve always been for it because prohibition is absurd for all the reasons we know ,” explains the filmmaker. ” And legalization has always seemed inevitable to me. ”
