At 51, Alexandra has decided to take CBD. A 100% therapeutic choice that allows her to lead a normal life.
Why do you take CBD?
CBD is the result of a choice made after a long series of ordeals. I had a complex accident in which I broke my back and 7 vertebrae. I had to stay in hospital for 1 year.
During this period, I had 5 operations to have titanium plates put in my back. When I was discharged, I had to take di antalvic With age and aging, my medication was no longer effective. When I stopped taking di antalvic, I had to replace it with morphine.
Morphine is a vicious circle: the body gets used to its effects, and you have to take more and more to stop the pain. In the end, I couldn’t stand the effects any more: heartache, huge addiction, loss of personality. My life no longer resembled anything, and what I was taking to treat myself was harmful to my health.
Today CBD relieves my back pain, much better than any medication I’ve ever taken.
How did you opt for CBD?
An American friend of mine, who has known me for a long time, saw my condition getting worse and worse, and it turns out that her mother is a great concert performer. Her hand could no longer cope with the rhythm of her playing.
So she started taking CBD to continue playing professionally. As a result, the drug saved her career. My girlfriend advised me to try this product.
At the time, she gave me a small 10 ml vial for testing. My first night on CBD was a revelation. I had never slept so well in 22 years. So naturally I continued to take it, while gradually phasing out the morphine and other painkillers I was taking.
So CBD has completely replaced morphine at 100%?
Completely. I don’t take anything anymore, only CBD…
In what form and at what pace?
In pill form, between 2 and 4 a day. I don’t need more, this dose suits me perfectly. However, if I don’t take CBD during the day, the pain will inevitably return
.
So you can have a perfectly normal life at the same time?
Exactly. I can go out, drive, read, work and even drink alcohol. No form of addiction and I’d even say my quality of life is much better since I’ve been taking CBD, it’s incomparable.
How do you explain CBD to someone who’s never taken it before?
Generally, when I recommend it to friends, I simply point out that without CBD I wouldn’t be able to stand up for more than 15 minutes. I insist that there is no addiction. It’s a simple dietary supplement that has nothing to do with the effects of marijuana. It remains a therapeutic product with no side effects.
What do you think of this summer’s shutdown of CB stores in France?
The open stores had made a serious mistake. It offered THC products and smoking weed. This confused state authorities and consumers alike. CBD is a new answer to people addicted to anti-anxiety drugs etc… I find it monstrous that it’s not yet legal. The patient’s well-being should be a priority. 2 grams of morphine a day versus 2 pills of CBD are two completely different things and unfortunately the most harmful is on sale.
